Il Sogno is located between the parks of Veio, Martignano-Bracciano and Sorbo Valley where you can visit volcanic lakes, enjoy hiking, nature walks, mountain biking and horse riding. It is 10 minutes by car from Lake Martignano, 15 minutes from Lake Bracciano and 25 minutes from Lake Vico. All are volcanic lakes with crystal clear water, grass and sand beaches. Lie in the sun or under a shady tree and swim or rent a kayak, canoe or sailboat. Il Sogno is also just a 30-minute drive from the sea.
Il Sogno is a five-minute drive from the old “borgo” of Cesano, a medieval town, originally settled by the Etruscans. There are other medieval towns with castles, such as Bracciano and Isola Farnese, within a short drive as well as the beautiful “borgos” of Campagnano, Anguillara, Calcata and the city of Viterbo, located within its ancient walls. The area is full of Etruscan ruins (Cerveteri, Veio), and boasts hot springs such as Stigliano e Le Terre dei Papi, all within a 10-30 minute drive.
As the area is so rich with sights and activities, we strongly suggest renting a car at Leonardo Da Vinci airport, at the central train station in Rome, Termini, or near Il Sogno.
